Or if your USB CD drive can burn DVDs and you have a DVD, you could use the USB drive to copy from windows and then use the Macbook's Disk Utility to burn the image to the DVD.
Parents should find the show helpful in this world of both parents working, chaotic schedules, and the change in parenting style from when many of us were young. Frost is a natural - she's British, outspoken, warm, and empathetic. The kids all seem to love and appreciate her - maybe not at first, but after a fashion. If they weren't, they wouldn't sob when Jo leaves. The other thing her work points out is how desperate these poor kids are not only for attention and discipline from their parents, but for some sort of order and structure in their lives. And also, that control isn't gained by screaming, swearing, or hitting. One would think this would be obvious, but it isn't. I think one of the big things she highlights is that the parents are the ones who are supposed to be in control. I have no idea how long it takes Jo to work her magic, but the results are totally amazing. First of all, the families are so nightmarish and the kids so awful, you can't imagine that anyone or anything - other than maybe a stun gun - could help. It's a very entertaining and informative show. Just trying to incorporate a few techniques of Jo Frost, the Supernanny, would probably prove helpful. Until the moment her father, John Nitti, founder of Isola Imports, called and asked. After graduating from Pepperdine University, Lisa spent several years in the hospitality industry as Concierge at Merv Griffin's Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel in California. We've all seen (or have) kids who are out of control. The story of Isola Imports has a history founded in love for family and Italian tradition. |
